Join our team as a Bartender at the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club!

The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it’s sister properties include Montecito Club, San Ysidro Ranch, Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, Sandpiper Golf Club, Four Seasons New York and Las Ventanas al Paraíso in Los Cabos, Mexico. The Bartender presents an optimistic and unforgettably positive impression to our Members and Guests by delivering refined, efficient, and elevated beverage service. This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages according to Club standards, maintaining a clean and organized bar, ensuring compliance with all alcohol service laws, and providing a 5-star dining experience at the bar and throughout the outlet.

This position is compensated at $19/hr and included in the Coral Casino Tip Pool.

Essential Duties
  • Exhibits sincere hospitality and prioritizes member satisfaction at all times.
  • Remains attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Acts as a leader on the team and inspires excellence in daily operations.
  • Greets and interacts with Members, guests, and vendors in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, glassware standards, garnishes, and proper pour measures.
  • Ensures the quality, taste, and presentation of all beverages; tastes drinks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversees bar maintenance; maintains a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times.
  • Keeps the bar stocked with glassware, garnishes, soda, and necessary supplies.
  • Provides a 5-star dining experience at the bar, utilizing suggestive selling techniques and coordinating food service with kitchen staff, runners, and barbacks.
  • Completes opening, closing, and side work duties according to established standards.
  • Conducts bar inventory and requisitions to maintain proper stock levels.
  • Communicates all 86’d items in a timely manner.
  • Abides by all cash handling policies and accurately accounts for all transactions and beverages poured.
  • Reports to work on time for all scheduled shifts and breaks; clocks in/out in full uniform.
  • Maintains grooming and uniform standards.
  • Follows all state and local alcohol service laws and regulations.
  • Communicates member needs and feedback to management.
  • Adheres to all Club and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Supports a safe and professional work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of bartender experience in an upscale restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails and contemporary cocktail techniques and trends
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with alcohol service regulations
  • Responsible Beverage Alcohol Certification required
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to 8+ hours)
  • Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, reach, push, pull, carry, and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to withstand repetitive motions
  • May be exposed to loud noise

  • Basic knowledge of alcohol beverage service regulations
  • Basic math skills
  • Dynamic, outgoing personality; articulate, friendly, punctual, and proactive
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
  • Knowledge of wine regions and proper food and wine service techniques
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve them professionally
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Honest, dependable, and aligned with the Club’s service standards
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
