Role Description

HGL Limited is seeking a BIM/VDC Coordination Project Manager for a full-time, on-site role located in Dublin, OH. The Project Manager will lead BIM and VDC coordination efforts, ensuring seamless integration across project teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project workflows, supervising BIM model development, conducting clash detection, facilitating coordination meetings, and providing support to both internal and external stakeholders. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality results on time and within budget while fostering strong team collaboration.

Position Summary

The BIM / VDC Project Manager Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of BIM and VDC projects under the guidance of Client Team members. This role focuses on project coordination, documentation, communication, and basic schedule and scope tracking , while developing a strong understanding of BIM/VDC workflows, construction processes, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination & Support

Leads coordinating BIM/VDC project activities across internal teams and external stakeholders

Track project scope, deliverables, and milestones

Maintain project documentation including BEPs, meeting notes, and logs

2. Schedule & Task Tracking

Develop and update project schedules and task assignments

Monitor progress of modeling, coordination, and review tasks

Track action items and follow up with team members

Flag potential delays or issues to senior staff and Client Staff

3. Client & Team Communication

Lead in coordination meetings, model reviews, and internal check-ins

Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up items

Communicate clearly with BIM modelers, coordinators, and managers

Support client communications under supervision

4. BIM / VDC Process Support

Lead model coordination, clash tracking, and issue management

Support quality control checks for models and drawings

Help maintain BIM standards, naming conventions, and file structures

Apply BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project standards

5. Reporting & Documentation

Track project hours and basic budgets and be responsible for P&L on assigned projects

Assist with progress reports and dashboards

Maintain logs for RFIs, clashes, and change requests

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, and 2 plus years of experience in BIM, VDC, construction, or AEC or 5 plus years of on the job experience

Understanding of BIM and construction workflows

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic project documentation tools

Preferred Qualifications

Experienced using BIM tools such as:

Revit

AutoCAD

FabMEP

Navisworks

Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

Strong understanding of:

Model coordination and clash detection

Construction documents and drawings

Experience with scheduling or task tracking tools (e.g., Excel, MS Project, or similar)
