Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage and support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Document Control, Requests for Information (RFIs), version control, and project management. This role involves coordinating with clients, project teams and 3rd-party engineering review, ensuring compliance with project contract specifications, and maintaining efficient workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination: Support the project manager in overseeing pre-construction and on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets. Document Management Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely updates. RFI Processing: Prepare, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) to address design or construction issues, coordinating with vendors, engineers, and subcontractors. Version Control: Maintain strict version control for project documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure all stakeholders work with the latest revisions. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to troubleshooting any issues with materials and services, resolving any on-site issues. Project Reporting: Generate and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed. Schedule Management: Assist Project Managers in developing and updating project schedules using tools like Procore or MS Project, identifying potential delays and proposing solutions. Quality Control: Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards through regular quality checks and coordination with QA/QC teams. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience. Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Other Requirements: Ability to work on-site full-time and travel to project locations as needed. Valid driver’s license.
