Job Overview Job Title: Flight Attendant Salary: $20/Hour Company: Delta Airlines Location: Sacramento, USA Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Key Responsibilities Ensure the safety and luxury of passengers, providing high-quality customer support at an altitude of at least 8,000 ft. Assist with loading and stowing baggage into overhead bins and offer help when needed. Demonstrate use of safety equipment and ensure safety regulations are met. Serve and steward food and drinks (including alcohol) and meals. Answer passenger inquiries and assist passengers with special needs. Maintain passenger safety and comfort during delays or turbulence. Administer and coordinate emergency procedures or provide emergency care such as CPR when needed." Respond to and give clear instructions (verbally or non‑verbally) to passengers during emergencies. Make decisions to address problems aligned with Delta’s regulations, approaches, and values. Collaborate independently and as part of a team to accomplish responsibilities. Meet scheduling and time‑-sensitive demand while working in a demanding environment. Practice safe operational practices in all areas. Training All new hires undergo six weeks of training at Delta’s global headquarters in Atlanta, GA. During training, employees receive a training wage, meals, and lodging for those who do not live within 2 hours of the training facility. Delta Benefits. Minimum Qualifications Eligible to work in the U.S. At least 21 years of age at time of application. High school diploma or GED. Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English. Valid passport (if non‑U.S. passport) with at least 30 months validity from the first day of employment, and required documents for U.S. entry. Completion of DOT drug test and comprehensive background check, including government‑required fingerprint‑based criminal history. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, and perform tasks such as pushing food carts, lifting emergency doors, and opening emergency exits weighing up to 60 pounds. Capacity to open emergency exits and operate a beverage/food cart requiring 32‑lb force while pushing or pulling. Demonstrate respect for privacy when handling personal information. Comfort with a diverse set of people, cultures, and styles. Prioritize safety for self and others. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and prolonged shifts as required. Willingness to accept assignment to any Flight Attendant base after training, according to operational needs. Flexibility to relocate or commute (stand‑by travel) and fly both global and domestic routes. Ability to handle scheduling changes on short notice. Accepted vaccination or willingness to receive the COVID‑19 vaccine by date of hire (for U.S.‑based positions). Preferred Qualifications One year of experience in a role with duties similar to a flight attendant. College degree (beyond high school or GED).
