About the Role:

Lyons Truck Parts Inc in Kenosha, WI is looking for a motivated Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our hardworking team! This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty, learn the trade, and build a career in the diesel and heavy truck industry alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist diesel mechanics with inspections, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks
• Retrieve, organize, and stage parts and tools needed for repair jobs
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements
• Help with the removal and installation of truck components under mechanic supervision
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
• Dispose of used fluids and materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines
• Support parts inventory by stocking shelves and locating parts as needed

Requirements:

• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in diesel engines or heavy trucks
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Physical ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced diesel mechanics
• Prior shop, automotive, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required
