Remote Estate Planning Attorney (Legal Support / Paralegal) Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Fully Remote (Outside the United States) Schedule: Monday–Friday | U.S. Eastern Time Business Hours Compensation: Competitive and Based on Experience Support a Growing New York Estate Planning & Elder Law Firm Estate and Elder Law Solutions is a well-established New York law firm focused exclusively on estate planning and elder law. For more than 15 years, we've helped individuals and families protect their assets, preserve their legacies, and prepare for the future through personalized legal guidance and exceptional client service. We're looking for an experienced attorney located outside the United States to join our team in a remote legal support role. This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys legal drafting, legal research, document preparation, organization, and supporting attorneys behind the scenes. This is not a litigation role, and you will not be independently practicing U.S. law. Instead, you'll work directly with our attorney to prepare high-quality legal documents, assist with estate planning matters, conduct legal research, organize case files, and help ensure every client receives outstanding legal support. What You'll Do As a Remote Estate Planning Attorney supporting our legal team, you'll play an important role in preparing and organizing legal work that helps families protect what matters most. Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include: • Drafting and preparing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related legal documents using firm templates and attorney guidance. • Reviewing client questionnaires, financial information, and supporting documentation to ensure files are complete before drafting begins. • Editing, proofreading, formatting, and revising legal documents to maintain the firm's high standards of quality and accuracy. • Conducting legal research related to estate planning, probate, elder law, and other legal matters as assigned. • Organizing and maintaining electronic case files within the firm's case management system. • Monitoring deadlines, task lists, and document workflows to help ensure the timely completion of legal matters. • Preparing correspondence, summaries, and supporting legal documentation for attorney review. • Working closely with the firm's attorney and legal support team to ensure matters move efficiently from intake through completion. • Identifying inconsistencies, missing information, or potential issues before documents are finalized. • Maintaining detailed notes and accurate documentation throughout each matter. • Participating in team meetings, workflow discussions, and ongoing training. • Continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency, organization, and document quality while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications: We're looking for a legal professional who enjoys drafting, research, and analytical work while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Candidates should have: • A law degree from an accredited university. • An active license to practice law in their home country. • At least three years of legal experience. • Excellent legal writing and drafting skills. • Strong legal research and analytical abilities. • Professional-level written and spoken English. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Experience reviewing and proofreading legal documents. • The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cloud-based software. • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home office. • Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
