Job Description

Modern Law is looking for a skilled forensic accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will trace, analyze, and document financial records in family law matters, including asset discovery, income analysis, and valuation support. You will record financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and post entries to accounting journals and QuickBooks in support of case work. Responsibilities: Duties include: Support legal teams and clients in developing Affidavits of Financial Information (AFIs) Prepare and review client budgets Track spending, income, and assets throughout the case Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts Create spending, income, and asset reports Meet with clients and legal teams to review findings and answer questions The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, is detail-oriented, highly organized, and works well as part of a team. Qualifications: • At least 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, bookkeeper, or related position • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills • Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems • Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Compensation: $85,000 +
