Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IBM Cognos / DataStage Developer to support enterprise data integration and reporting initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and BI solutions to enable effective data management and business insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using IBM DataStage .
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics using IBM Cognos .
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills

• Strong hands on experience with IBM DataStage (ETL development, job design, performance tuning).
• Expertise in IBM Cognos BI (reporting, dashboards, metadata modeling).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and relational databases .
• Experience with data integration, migration, and transformation projects .
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Prior experience in financial services or healthcare domains is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for data integration preferred.
