Job Description The Manager, Sports Analytics & Forecasting is a key member of the NBC Sports Decision Sciences team, responsible for delivering actionable performance analysis that supports internal stakeholders across Finance and Sales Planning, Programming/Scheduling, and Consumer Marketing. In this highly visible role, the Manager will leverage sports content analytics to provide insights and projections to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, NBC Sports Decision Sciences, the Manager will drive data-informed forecasts that guide content strategy, programming, marketing, ad sales, finance, and acquisitions. The role includes developing projections and insights across the NBC Sports portfolio, including the Olympics, NFL and Sunday Night Football, NBA, PGA TOUR, Big Ten, Notre Dame, NASCAR, FIFA World Cup, and Premier League. Responsibilities: Collect, analyze, and forecast NBC Sports’ consumption data across all Linear & Streaming platforms, including Peacock, providing topline and detailed analyses of the audience within NBCU and broader media landscape to ultimately inform the business’s strategic forecasts. Take ownership of both linear and digital forecasting, from planning and analysis through execution and delivery, collaborating with partners to ensure deliverables align with business needs. Triangulate multiple data points (i.e. national and local linear metrics, streaming data, qualitative insights) to help craft an impactful narrative around cross-platform sports property consumption. Analyze 1st and 3rd party data sets from NBC Sports and competitive sports programming to develop insights that drive content, programming, sales, finance, marketing, and acquisition decision‑making. Proactively create and synthesize complex analyses into digestible presentations for key stakeholders and senior leadership. Present and communicate performance results and findings to all levels of the organization, positioning analyses in a creative and concise manner. Generate ad‑hoc analyses to answer critical and time‑sensitive business questions and identify areas of strategic opportunity. Evangelize sports performance stories and data‑driven decision making throughout the organization.
