Marketing & Brand Ambassador Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated intern, who is interested in learning more about marketing and entrepreneurship by working side-by-side with the founders and Head of Marketing. We will give you the tools to thrive and the autonomy to do what you do best. Come join the fun!

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the Lead Brand Ambassador at local events and stores, sharing our product samples and communicating the brand/product story to interested consumers
2. Help build out the our Brand Ambassador program, developing the webpage, screening ambassadors, and managing them ongoing
3. Visit a few local stores per month to audit our presence on shelf and assess the competitors
4. Support the Social Media Manager by helping with community management and content creation as well as identifying influencers/brand for future partnership
5. Learn the basics of email marketing from our Head of Marketing then help develop our monthly email newsletters and content plan

Requirements:

• Enrolled in college or university, working towards a bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
• Based in the Bay Area
• Prior work experience in social media, email marketing or public relations, a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to get things done with high quality execution.
• Hungry to learn about entrepreneurship, marketing and sales from inside a start-up.
• Passion for food (bonus: vegan/vegetarian/plant-based food!), food justice and inclusive design.
• A love of and comfort creating static and video content for Instagram and Tik Tok.
• Experience with Canva or MailChimp, a plus.

Compensation: $500/month plus free product and great experience for your resume.

Location: The company is based in El Cerrito, CA and this role must be based in the Bay Area, ideally max 20-30 minutes from El Cerrito. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must provide your own computer and remote working space.
