HCA Healthcare is seeking compassionate new graduate registered nurses to join our Nurse Residency New Grad program across all HCA Midwest hospitals. As a Nurse Resident, you will transition from the academic environment into professional nursing practice within a structured, supportive learning program designed to build your confidence and clinical competence. Working in our acute care hospital settings, you will provide direct, evidence-based patient care, collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and engage with patients and families to support safe, high-quality outcomes. Under the guidance of experienced preceptors, clinical educators, and unit leaders, you will progressively assume responsibility for patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, interventions, and patient education while developing strong critical thinking and clinical judgment. In this residency, you will participate in classroom instruction, simulation lab experiences, skills validation, and focused clinical rotations tailored to your chosen specialty area, such as medical-surgical, telemetry, critical care, emergency, perioperative services, women’s services, pediatrics, or other hospital-based units within HCA Midwest. You will learn to use advanced healthcare technologies and electronic medical record systems, follow hospital policies and regulatory standards, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives on your unit. The program emphasizes professional development, communication, time management, and resilience, preparing you for a long-term nursing career within HCA Healthcare.
