OR AssistantLocation: Baystate Wing Hospital – Palmer, MA Schedule: Part Time (30 hours per week) Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (10-hour shifts) with variable days off.SummaryBaystate Health is seeking a dedicated and dependable OR Assistant to join our Perioperative Services team at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA.Working under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the OR Assistant performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities that support the safe and efficient operation of the surgical suite. This role works closely with nurses, surgeons, anesthesia providers, technicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient perioperative environment.Responsibilities include assisting with operating room turnover and setup, transporting and positioning patients, cleaning and inspecting equipment, stocking supplies, assisting with pre-operative patient preparation, and retrieving blood products from Transfusion Medicine Services as directed by a Registered Nurse or Coordinator.
