OR AssistantSchedule: Full Time Day shift - 36 hours (7am-7:30pm) Rotating Weekends and holidays requiredPosition SummaryUnder the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Perioperative Orderly supports direct and indirect patient care activities within Perioperative and Heart & Vascular Services. This role works closely with the entire surgical team—including nurses, physicians, surgeons, technicians, and other hospital staff—to ensure efficient workflow, patient safety, and a clean, well-stocked surgical environment.Responsibilities include assisting with operating room turnover, equipment cleaning and inspection, supply stocking, patient transport and positioning, and other support duties as assigned. The Orderly is also authorized to retrieve blood products from Transfusion Medicine Services as directed by a Registered Nurse or Coordinator.
