Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

The Press Helper plays a vital role in supporting the Press Operator to ensure smooth operations, producing high-quality parts, and consistently surpassing customer expectations.

Key Duties:
• Review job specifications to determine necessary machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Prepare jobs and materials for machine setup to ensure seamless operation.
• Assist with setup and production by hanging plates, checking register, performing rule outs, and other essential tasks.
• Load and unload paper, move products, assist with press wash-ups, and maintain adequate supplies.
• Provide hands-on assistance to the Press Operator throughout the production process.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards during press runs.
• Help identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues in the absence of maintenance personnel.
• Keep the workspace and equipment clean, organized, and in optimal condition.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional attention to detail and sound decision-making using available information.
• Demonstrated professionalism, including maintaining a polished appearance, positive attitude, and adherence to company policies.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.

Work Environment:
• Regular interaction with both internal team members and external customers, including addressing customer concerns.
