SAP Basis Consultant

Environment: SAP ECC 7.4, Oracle Database, Oracle Linux

Location: Remote (must support EST business hours)

Leadership: Lead a team of five SAP BASIS/Security engineers Rate: $52/hr.

Job Description:

Core Technical Skills

1. SAP BASIS administration for SAP ECC 7.4
2. Oracle Database administration related to SAP
3. Oracle Linux operating system
4. SAP system installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning
5. SAP kernel upgrades, Support Package implementation, and system upgrades
6. SAP system refreshes and client copies
7. Transport Management System (TMS)
8. Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery support
9. Vulnerability remediation and patch management
10. PGP and SSH key management
11. Incident, Change, and Request management

SAP Security & GRC

1. SAP Security administration
2. Roles and authorizations
3. SAP GRC knowledge
4. Audit and compliance management
5. User administration
6. Segregation of Duties (SoD) awareness

SAP Fiori

1. SAP Fiori Gateway administration
2. SAP Mobile Services setup
3. Fiori landscape management
4. Security configuration for Fiori applications

Leadership Expectations

1. Lead a team of five SAP BASIS and Security consultants.
2. Independently handle client discussions during EST hours.
3. Own technical delivery from planning through execution.
4. Lead SEV (Severity) bridge calls.
5. Coordinate system upgrades, refreshes, and maintenance activities.
6. Estimate effort and plan future work.
7. Track incidents, requests, and project deliverables.
8. Identify risks and ensure timely resolution.
9. Drive accountability across the team.
