Job Description

As a Security Guard - Full-Time Roving Rounds in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of corridors, entrances, and parking areas, maintain a visible presence that may help reduce incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document security-related observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disturbances and/or requesting medical, clinical, or law enforcement support as needed.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying authorization, directing foot traffic, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or unsecured doors.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
