ManTech International is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (AI) team within the Information Technology (IT) organization. In this role, you will help design and deliver secure, scalable data platforms that power mission‑critical national security programs for the U.S. intelligence community, the Department of Defense, and other federal health and administrative agencies. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will architect and build robust data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions. You will work closely with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and cybersecurity experts to operationalize models, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure reliable, timely access to high‑quality data across complex, high‑security environments. Your work will directly support analysts, operators, and decision‑makers who rely on data to protect national security. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows; modeling and organizing large structured and unstructured datasets; and establishing data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks. You will help define and enforce engineering best practices, including secure coding standards, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, to support the rapid and reliable delivery of data products. You will collaborate with security professionals to implement encryption, access controls, and other protective measures that meet stringent federal and DoD compliance requirements. In line with ManTech’s culture of innovation, integrity, and respect for individual contributions, you will mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership on complex data initiatives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data platforms and processes. You will translate mission and business requirements into scalable technical designs, communicate trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and drive the adoption of modern data engineering tools and patterns.
