If you enroll in a course through Mine for Meaning: The Writer’s Life, you will access course log-in through your account.
You will submit your written exercises for feedback through the course interface; however, detailed feedback may be emailed to you at the email address you provide during course registration. Upon submission of payment for a course, you will be assigned a user account for which you will be assigned a user name and password. You should update this password immediately and retain a copy for your records.
There are no refunds for courses once you have been enrolled.
Privacy and Ownership of your Work
When you submit your written exercises in these courses, you will maintain full copyright and ownership of your writing. This content will be accessible only to me, sole owner and proprietor of Mining for Meaning: The Writer’s Life. I will provide personalized feedback aimed at helping you develop your writing; all comments on your drafts will remain private and accessible through your individual Moodle log-in.
Upon course completion, you may be invited to share your work through the Substack publication Mining for Meaning: Writing Your Life; however, you will be asked to give permission for publication. None of your work will be published or shared with other enrolled students without written permission.
Embedded content from other websites
Within the courses, you may find embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
How long you will retain course access
Once you complete the course, you will be un-enrolled and will lose access to the course content. For this reason, you should download and save all copies of your work.
None of your personal information shared with Mining for Meaning: The Writer’s Life will be saved or shared with third parties.
