WHAT YOU WILL DO

Landscape architecture interns will work with experienced landscape architects and designers to bring your classroom knowledge to the real world and assist in design efforts for various projects and clients. Some work areas may include analysis and research, field studies, production of design graphics using CAD or other software, detail design, developing planting palettes and plans, assisting in the design and documentation process, and conducting materials and building systems research. Internships will begin in June at approximately 24-32 hours per week and will be 12 - 14 weeks in duration. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in an accredited Landscape Architecture degree program and will be entering the final year of coursework as a BLA student or have completed two years of coursework as an MLA student. Possess an interest in science-based or evidence-based design. Portfolio that demonstrates strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Revit. Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills. COMPENSATION $22- $23 per hour Actual rate of pay will be based on the level of coursework completed, previous experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
