Bookkeeper Temporary Position MCV Law is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to provide full-time, temporary coverage during a planned medical leave. This position will support the Director of Operations in managing day-to-day accounting and operational functions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented law firm. Assignment Details Duration: Approximately June 15 through August 14 (68 weeks) Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:30 a.m.5:00 p.m. Location: In-office, Syracuse, NY Key Responsibilities Entering and reconciling daily deposits Client billing and payment posting Accounts payable and accounts receivable General ledger maintenance and journal entries Bank and account reconciliations Payroll support Purchasing and vendor management Assisting the Director of Operations with routine operational and financial functions Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent relevant experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in a service-related or professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Strong technical aptitude; advanced IT skills a plus HR or payroll-related experience is preferred but not required High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information Compensation Competitive pay, dependent on experience (This is a temporary assignment; benefits eligibility will reflect the short-term nature of the role.)
