Pressroom FloaterThe Pressroom helper assists and supports the Pressroom in keeping the equipment running efficiently. The primary responsibility of the Pressroom Floater is to support presses with maintaining supplies, material handling and make-ready responsibilities. The Pressroom Floater will also fill in the role of Feeder on the 40" presses and Sheeter Helper as business needs dictate.Essential Job Duties:Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and proceduresDemonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelinesBe aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systemsUnderstand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirementsReview the schedule and stage required stock and materials needed for upcoming jobsMaintain the fountain solution levelsAssist with the removal, replacement, and maintenance of rollersMust be qualified to operate Toppy and Automaton skid turners.Responsible for weekly preventive maintenance on Toppy skid turnerResponsible for weekly preventive maintenance in Chemical Room and housekeeping dutiesMust be qualified to operate lift truck equipmentWork with peers and other departments to improve quality and performancePlay an active role in the maintenance and housekeeping of the assigned press and surrounding work areaPerform other duties as assigned by the Press Operator or Feeder OperatorAct as a backup Feeder in all functions of the feeder position as neededSet up the press feeder and keep it running properlyInstall the proper inks in the correct press units and maintains their levels during the press runAdjust press throughout the run to maintain sheet position and registrationAssist with decisions regarding the quality of finished productComplete required quality inspections and paperworkUnderstand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirementsActively participate in lean manufacturing initiativesPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSafety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe mannerAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business Ability to work on a rotating shift as neededAbility to effectively work in teamsAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesPress experience preferredEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredShift:3rd (10pm-6am)Two companies, one vision.Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
