Job Description

Location: Fort Morgan, CO 80701 Employment Type: Full-Time Position Type: Unarmed Security Officer Schedule: Thursday to Sunday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Pay: Up to $20.50 per hour Position Summary Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage for commercial property in Fort Morgan, Colorado. This position focuses on protecting people, buildings, and business assets through proactive patrols, vigilant observation, and prompt response to security concerns. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong situational awareness, and the ability to make sound decisions while working independently during overnight shifts. Key Responsibilities Property Patrol & Security Conduct routine foot patrols throughout assigned buildings and surrounding grounds. Maintain a visible security presence to discourage theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity. Inspect doors, gates, windows, parking areas, and other designated checkpoints. Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or suspicious conditions. Access Monitoring Monitor entrances and exits to help maintain a secure environment. Verify authorization for visitors, contractors, or vendors when required. Observe site activity and report any policy violations or unusual behavior. Help ensure compliance with client security procedures. Incident Response Respond professionally to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and other security-related incidents. Assess situations quickly and follow established response procedures. Contact supervisors or emergency services whenever additional assistance is necessary. Preserve a safe environment until the situation has been resolved. Documentation Complete clear and accurate daily activity reports. Document incidents, observations, and security concerns promptly. Maintain detailed records of patrols and operational activities. Communicate important information during shift transitions. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work overnight shifts on a consistent schedule. Strong observation and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Professional appearance and dependable attendance. Ability to work independently while exercising good judgment. Successfully pass a background investigation and any client-required screening. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in private security, customer service, military, or law enforcement. Familiarity with commercial property security operations. Experience preparing incident reports and activity logs. Knowledge of emergency response procedures. Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional customer service. Physical Requirements Walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Patrol indoor and outdoor areas in various weather conditions. Climb stairs and inspect multiple areas of the property. Lift and carry up to approximately 25 pounds when necessary. Maintain continuous visual awareness while performing patrol duties. Work Environment Commercial property with both interior and exterior patrol responsibilities. Overnight schedule requiring alertness and independent decision-making. Frequent interaction with client representatives, employees, visitors, and emergency responders. Fast-paced environment where priorities may change quickly based on operational needs.
