Description

The Food & Beverage Server is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional service to guests of the Warm Springs Casino Enterprises property food and beverage outlets. The Servers will meet the highest standards of excellence in welcoming and serving guests, always providing efficient food and beverage service in an informed, welcoming, and friendly manner. They must be knowledgeable about Warm Springs Casino Enterprises and the Warm Springs reservation.

Qualifications

The following include, but are not limited to essential functions of the position.

  • Provides excellent and friendly guest service, greeting each guest in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Maintains full knowledge of the entire menu, daily specials, soups, desserts, signature cocktails, beer selections, and promotional offerings.
  • Takes all guest orders in a friendly, efficient manner, enters orders in the POS system, and ensures timely delivery from the kitchen and bar.
  • Provides excellent, attentive service while anticipating guests' needs.
  • Operates the POS and credit card system for processing guest checks properly following all WSCE cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of bar promotions, casino promotions, happy hour offerings, and local event schedules (Tribal & Enterprise).
  • Make coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, cocktails, bar beer and wine, etc. as required.
  • Takes drink orders from guests on casino floor and delivers them in a timely manner.
  • Clear tables promptly and assist with bussing duties during and after guests' visits.
  • Keeps service stations, bar areas, C-Store grab & go, and dining spaces clean and fully stocked.
  • Complete side work and cleaning assignments before, during and after each shift.
  • Answer incoming calls professionally, taking to-go orders and reservations if needed.
  • Manages assigned bank, accurate transaction processing, and completing all required Cashier and end-of-shift paperwork, including tip reconciliation.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the tools and equipment used in this position, including wine openers, trays and tray stands, carpet sweepers or vacuum, coffee and espresso machines, juice machines, POS system, 10-key calculator, telephone, and the credit card reference checking system.
  • Maintains a working knowledge about the casino and current promotions.
  • Adheres to Health Code Standards and polices regarding food service cleaning and sanitation.
  • Complies with all standards and regulations of all pertinent regulatory agencies.
  • Assist team members and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Guest Service Excellence: Demonstrates a friendly, welcoming attitude while providing exceptional service to guests in a fast-paced casino environment. Effectively handles customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests to enhance the overall dining experience.
  • POS Operations: Accurately processes payments, handles cash transactions, and operates the Point-of-Sale (POS) system efficiently. Ensures proper cash accountability, follows casino financial procedures, and maintains accuracy in billing and reconciliation.
  • Efficiency: Manages multiple responsibilities, including seating guests, taking orders, delivering food, and maintaining cleanliness, while ensuring prompt service. Works effectively under pressure in a high-energy environment to uphold service standards and guest satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of Health Code Regulations.
  • Dining service experience.
  • Knowledge of bartending.
  • Ability to operate POS computer system and count money accurately.
  • Speak, read, and write in English, and must possess professional and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent guest service skills and cash handling experience.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Food Handler's Certification.
  • Must present a professional appearance with strict hygiene standards.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including working nights, weekends and holidays to manage and train effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of cash handling or hosting experience in a casino environment.

Certification(s) and/or Licenses Required

Must be 18 years of age or older; 21 to mix alcohol beverages. Must submit to and pass a drug/alcohol screening test. Must submit to and pass a background check. Food Handlers certification required OLCC permit.
